Tryouts

January 11th @ Whitefish Middle School

January 18th @ Columbia Falls Middle School

5th-8th graders 12pm-2pm

High School 2pm-4pm

-You need a valid AAU membership to be eligible to tryout

-Tryouts are open to everyone. You do not need to attend clinics to be eligible for tryouts.

-Link your AAU membership to our club to get signed up for all FVC activities. The code is UVAJFV6WZ or find us on the scroll down menu.

-There is no fee to tryout

-We highly recommend you be at both tryouts. It’s very helpful for us to see each player as much as possible, however it is not required. If you are only able to make one of the two days, that needs to be communicated AHEAD of time. Showing up without proper communication could affect making a team.

-You (parents and players) will have paperwork to fill out at the gym

-Cuts are a possibility. We always do the best we can to keep as many players as possible. It all depends on how many players show up and how many coaches/resources we have available.

-We will announce teams online a few days after the last day of tryouts.

-We will have a pre-season meeting the following week, and club fees will be due.

About Us

Flathead Volleyball Club was created back in 2008 with the hope of bringing a great experience of playing volleyball to the athletes of the Flathead Valley. Since then, we have had great success in competing in tournaments and training young players to be the best they can be. Our coaches are in this program because they have a love for the sport, and have knowledge and experience as players. We travel around Montana and beyond to share our love for the great game of volleyball.

If you are new to Club Volleyball

Typically we start kids at 5th grade, and go up to 12th grade. We are open to any and all schools within the Flathead Valley and surrounding areas.

Teams will practice an average of twice a week. Practice locations are based on availablity and we can practice at any gym we can get access to around Kalispell. Tournaments are on the weekends during the Spring. FVC does not provide transportation, food, or lodging for events. We do ask that parents and families help provide food for the players and coaches for the tournament days. Tournaments can vary from 8 to 10 hours a day. Each team is different, but we usually travel to neighboring cities such as Missoula, Great Falls, Helena, and Butte. Regular tournament season runs from March to the beginning of May. Elite teams will go into summer.

There will be a club fee due at the first official practice. 2026 fees are TBD but a rough estimate is $500 for a regular season player, and $1,000 for an elite player. FVC is committed to providing opportunities to as many athletes who love Volleyball as possible. Please reach out for financial assistance options. We will be offering family discounts this year for families with multiple athletes in the program. Our goal is to keep our club fee number where it is now, and we rely on fundraising efforts from the entire program to do so.
